Agile Operating Model Implementation
iwow led the implementation of a global operating model built on agile and lean principles in the area of Data & Analytics and Enterprise AI at a Manufacturing / Engineering company.
Created the full ART structure covering the Data & Analytics and Enterprise AI delivery area across business and IT.
Stood up ten DevOps teams with clear end-to-end ownership, replacing fragmented delivery with collaborative squads.
Shifted the organisation from waterfall-style budget planning to flexible capacity-funding, enabling continuous delivery.
The client faced significant challenges in their Data & Analytics and Enterprise AI governance and delivery model. Roles and responsibilities were unclear, end-to-end processes were undefined, and the stakeholder community was fragmented across business and IT.
iwow implemented a new agile operating model tailored to the client's context, covering both business and IT stakeholders. The scope included:
- Defining and setting up the necessary ceremonies and meetings
- Defining and implementing roles and responsibilities
- Establishing an end-to-end process from prioritization through to implementation and rollout
- Client-tailored PI planning concept implemented across the organization
- Two Agile Release Trains established in the Data & Analytics and Enterprise AI area
- Ten cross-functional DevOps teams stood up with clear ownership
- Shift from waterfall budget planning to capacity-funding budgeting
- Unified stakeholder community spanning both business and IT
